The study of the performance of the photovoltaic system (on grid) of the Pernambuco Polytechnic School - POLI / UPE
Main Article Content
Abstract
The photovoltaic generation system is expanding because it is, in particular, a clean and renewable source parallel to the environmental damage caused by some sources of energy generation, such as thermal and hydroelectric, major components of the Brazilian energy matrix. From this point of view, this article aims to perform an analysis of the irradiation levels to evaluate the photovoltaic system installed at the University of Pernambuco and determine the location and angle guidelines of solar modules, as well as monitor the production of electricity, implemented by the Company. Pernambuco (Celpe), through ANEEL's Energy Efficiency Program (PROPEE). 54 modules were installed, totaling a power of 12.5 kW and inaugurated on September 19, 2017. At the end of this phase, a study on orientation, inclination and irradiation of the plates was carried out, in order to provide improvements in the performance of the system. With the aid of the AURORA VISION computer platform and PVsyst software, it was possible to monitor the production and energy performance of solar panels. With the results obtained in this research, it will be possible to optimize the photovoltaic system with regard to its performance, providing mainly the most efficient electricity production.
