Abstract

Despite the advances achieved by the transparency laws, the way this data is presented does not stimulate interest and does not contribute to the monitoring by society. This paper proposes a BI solution to monitoring the expenses of the federal deputies and also the profile of the parliamentarians who have occupied and who occupy the Chamber of Deputies. The visualizations designed allow to know how the distribution of gender, age and education of the deputies and also to understand how the parliamentary expenses are, providing a tool to assist monitoring by the population. The data used in the construction of the BI are made available by the Chamber of Deputies [1], subsequently, the ETL was made using Pentaho and, finally, the visualizations were developed using Tableau.
