Abstract

The quality of housing affects the lives of its inhabitants in various ways. Factors such as health, comfort, well-being, and quality of life are directly linked to these influences. Well-planned designs and constructions with a focus on energy efficiency can enhance the health and well-being of residents and generate long-term savings. The study of different construction solutions assists in the development of systems that can provide greater environmental comfort, reduce the need for heating and cooling, as well as decrease the use of artificial lighting. The present work developed the design of a condominium, taking into account bioclimatic architecture and eco-efficient solutions, to enhance the environmental comfort of the residences and significantly reduce the consumption of potable water, energy, and CO2 emissions. Through this study, it was observed that small architectural and landscaping interventions increase the thermal comfort of the residences, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing.
