Abstract

The article addresses the analysis of risks and hazards present in confined spaces, where activities involve significant risks. Confined spaces are areas not designed for human occupancy that need occasional access for tasks such as maintenance. The NR 33 regulation establishes guidelines to ensure safety in these spaces, including the requirement for a Safety and Occupational Health Management Plan. In addition to atmospheric risks, there are also occupational risks classified as physical, chemical, ergonomic, biological, and mechanical. The study employs the HRN method to quantify these risks in confined spaces within a beverage industry, considering parameters such as probability of occurrence and severity of harm. The results highlight mechanical risks as predominant and chemical risks as more detrimental to the safety and health of workers. The research contributes to the understanding and prevention of these risks, emphasizing the importance of safety management in confined spaces to protect the lives of workers
