Risk Assessment in a Pet Shop: Case Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to identify occupational risks in a pet shop with integrated services, proposing preventive measures to protect the health of workers. The methodology involved technical visits using Preliminary Risk Analysis (PRA), analysis of the establishment's layout and application of a safety checklist based on regulatory standards, aiming to detect non-conformities and suggest improvements. The results indicated that the bathing and grooming sector concentrates the greatest risks, with emphasis on ergonomic and physical problems. Among the main recommendations are: use of solar control films, installation of lifting devices and improvements in the physical environment. An educational booklet was also prepared to guide professionals in the most affected sector. The study concludes that the adoption of these measures can promote safer and healthier work environments in the pet sector, recommending that new research be carried out in other establishments to expand the analysis and strengthen preventive actions.
